A creative life, always evolving
A little bit about me
Creativity has always been woven through my life. For more than 20 years, I worked as a photographer and ran my own business, capturing people, emotion, connection and the little details that make something feel special.
Photography taught me how to really see light, colour, balance, composition and the way small changes can completely shift the feeling of an image. Over time, I realised I was using that same instinct in the way I looked at homes.
I have always loved creating spaces that feel beautiful and considered. Rearranging, restoring, experimenting with colour, finding potential in older pieces and working out how to make a room feel better without simply replacing everything in it. During a season of change in my own life years ago, I decided to follow that pull more seriously and became a qualified Interior Design.
Since then, my journey has continued through interior styling, property styling, visual merchandising and hands-on design projects, each experience adding another layer to the way I work.
I’m also a mum of three adult children, and life has taught me that not every chapter unfolds the way we expect. There have been changes, fresh starts, challenges and times when I’ve had to rethink what comes next. What I’ve learnt is that beginning again doesn’t mean going backwards. We carry everything we’ve learnt with us.
That idea has become part of the heart behind The Inside Stylist.
I believe homes can evolve in the same way we do. They don’t always need to be stripped back or completely reinvented. Sometimes the most meaningful result comes from seeing what is already there differently keeping the pieces that matter, refining what feels unresolved and introducing just enough to bring everything into balance.
For me, home is more than somewhere that looks beautiful. It is where we retreat, gather, create memories, feel safe and reset before stepping back out into the world.
And perhaps that is what I love most about this work helping a home feel like the next, more considered chapter of the life already being lived within it.
