What it’s like to work together
You don’t need to know exactly what your home needs before getting in touch.
The process begins by understanding the home, how you live and what you want to achieve. From there, we establish a clear direction and determine how much support your project actually requires.
Not every project will move through every stage. Some clients may only need the clarity of a consultation or Style Plan, while larger transformations may continue through sourcing, coordination and final styling.
01 Discover
Finding Your Home’s Story
Before we choose colours, furniture or finishes, we begin by understanding the home and the people who live there.
We look at how the spaces are used, what already works, what feels unresolved and which pieces have value whether sentimental, practical or simply worth keeping.
Rather than forcing your home into a design category, we uncover the influences, colours, materials and details that feel right for you.
This is where we begin to identify:
what should stay
what could be refreshed or reimagined
what may need replacing
where the home is falling short
where your budget is best spent
what you want the finished spaces to feel like
For interior projects, this begins with a Discovery Consultation.
Preparing to sell? Your project begins instead with a dedicated Market-Ready Consultation, focused specifically on presentation, priorities and preparing the property for market.
02 Define
Create a clear direction
Once we understand the home, we turn what we’ve discovered into a more defined plan and itemised quote so everything is clearly presented before the project begins.
This is where priorities are established and the visual direction begins to take shape.
Depending on the scope, this may involve:
mood and concept boards
colour and material direction
furniture layouts
lighting ideas
finishes
existing pieces to incorporate
room-by-room priorities
establish any trade coordination needs
The purpose of this stage is to create clarity before implementation begins.
03 Source
Find the right pieces
For clients who want help taking the plan further, sourcing can form part of a Home Transformation or additional project support.
Then:
We can source and help purchase the furniture, lighting, finishes and decorative elements needed to bring the agreed direction together.
Selections are considered in relation to the whole room or home rather than as isolated purchases.
This may include:
furniture
rugs
lighting
window furnishings
hardware and finishes
artwork and accessories
source and assist with purchasing
restoration or repurposing opportunities
showroom and supplier visits
The goal isn’t simply to add more. It’s to find the pieces that genuinely belong and work for you and your home.
04 Coordinate
Keep the vision connected
Some projects involve multiple suppliers, trades, deliveries and design decisions.
Where included within the agreed project scope, We can coordinate selected elements and help keep the project aligned with the approved design direction as it develops.
This may include:
communication with suppliers and trades
showroom or site visits
reviewing selections
coordinating selected orders or deliveries
resolving design decisions as work progresses
The level of coordination is tailored to each project and clearly agreed before work begins.
05 Refine
Bring everything together
Where final installation and styling forms part of the project, this is where all the individual elements come together to create the finished space.
Then:
A final styling day may include positioning furniture, placing artwork and accessories, layering the finishing details and refining the room or home as a whole.
It’s often the most rewarding stage of the process, seeing the direction we’ve developed finally take shape.
The aim is a home that feels balanced, cohesive and personal, with every element working together rather than simply filling the space.
Every project takes its own path.
A consultation may provide all the clarity you need.
A Style Plan may give you the direction to continue independently.
A Home Transformation may continue through sourcing, coordination and final styling.
Preparing to sell? Market-Ready Styling follows its own sale-focused pathway, beginning with a dedicated on-site consultation.
The process is shaped around the home, the project and the level of support that makes sense for you.
